Hedgefield Lake - Hickman, Nebraska

Hedgefield Management Area is now be renovated. The lake has been drained and the dam reconstructed. Now it is up to the Nebraska Game and Parks to dredge the lake and later stock it.

















In 2004 Hedgefield and the surrounding area was hit by a toronado. It did a lot of damage to the trees and destroyed the restrooms. The trees have been put in piles and a new co-ed restroom was built.

The trees have been pushed into piles. If you walk around the lake you can still some of the debris on the ground and in the trees.










The dam on the lake faces south.













After the tornado you have to wonder what might be at the bottom of the lake now.
